How does an organisation become under a duty to implement Welsh language Standards?
There is a statutory process to follow before an organisation must implement Welsh language Standards. Welsh Government develops draft regulations and the Senedd considers and approves those regulations.
The Commissioner will prepare a draft Compliance Notice for all organisations covered by the Regulations. The Commissioner will consult with the organisation on the reasonableness of the requirements within the draft Compliance Notice and consider the organisation's response before imposing a final Compliance Notice on them.
