We want to see organisations taking proactive steps to increase the use of the Welsh language across their organisations and services – by developing the workforce so that they have the right skills to deliver services to the public, and by carrying out activities to increase internal use of Welsh.
The Commissioner is developing and publishing practical resources, guidance and policy models that will help organisations to plan what they can do to increase the use of the Welsh language among their employees and create a workplace where the Welsh language thrives.
There will be guidance on recruitment issues to improve your ability to offer bilingual services to the public, and guidance on giving staff opportunities to increase their informal use of Welsh in the workplace.
These ideas should suit every type of organisation in Wales. There is specific support for charities or private companies from the Hybu team.
